The Zero G Overground Gait and Balance Training System at Baton Rouge Rehab Hospital is a body weight support system and is used in conjunction with a comprehensive rehabilitation program. An active trolley follows the patient’s movements along a track and takes the weight off patients allowing them to safely practice intensive physical therapy and achieve a better outcome. Best of all, it takes away the risk of falling, a common obstacle to recovery.

Zero G can be utilized for:

  • Balance
  • Fall prevention
  • Stamina
  • Walking speed

It is used to treat those who have experienced:

  • Stroke
  • Brain injury
  • Neurological disorders
  • Spinal cord injury (incomplete)
  • Amputation
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Orthopedic injuries
